The Challenge
Monitoring Android tablets, tracking their location, and installing specific apps on them with a single solution
Co.As.It. desperately needed a solution to monitor the location of Android tablets given to patients. They wanted to install dedicated apps for aged or NDIS care on the tablets. The organization also wished to share informational content on all devices at once to educate the community members. These tasks were demanding for IT administrators since all the tablets needed constant maintenance and monitoring. Configuring the device settings manually became complex as the device fleet increased.

Co.As.It. adopted Scalefusion’s COPE (corporate-owned, personally enabled) management solution for their Android tablets. With COPE, they could control the tablets, and patients could use them as if they were personally owned. The Android Enterprise enrolled tablets had a separate logical container. This containerized the work apps and data from the patient’s personal space. Moreover, the in-house apps could be uploaded through an APK file and installed silently on the tablets.
