The Overview
Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU) is part of the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford. It is based at the Recanati-Kaplan Center. Since 1986, WildCRU has grown to be one of the world's largest and most productive conservation research institutes. It has associated members from more than 30 countries and a team of over 50 dedicated researchers. WildCRU’s projects have a wide international ateareach, ranging from the Scottish Highlands to Mongolia, West Africa, and Borneo.

The Challenge
Ensuring device safety by monitoring field activity to minimize maintenance costs
WildCRU’s research required frequent wildlife field visits, and the proper functioning of field devices was crucial for this. They wanted to monitor the activity of company devices on the field.
